Shaft Replacement
Golf Shaft Replacement & Reshafting in Richmond
Get fit for a new shaft and reshafted in-house at Mulligan's in Richmond. Tested on Trackman before you commit. Clean pulls, lie and loft set to spec on every build.

The right head with the wrong shaft is a club fighting you.
Plenty of golfers are playing a great head on the wrong shaft. Too stiff, too light, the wrong kick point, and the difference shows up in carry, dispersion, and feel. A new shaft can transform a club you already love without buying a whole new one.
We pull, test, and reshaft in-house. Before you commit a dollar, we put the proposed shaft in a fitting head and run it on Trackman next to your current gamer, so you see carry, spin, and dispersion side by side. Data first, then the build.
Pulling a shaft cleanly is where experience earns its keep, graphite especially. Heat it wrong and you scorch the head or crack the crown. Thirteen years of pulls means yours comes out clean. Lie and loft are checked and set on every reshaft, so the finished club is to spec, not just re-glued.

Common questions
Before you bring it in.
How long does shaft replacement take?
It depends on the shaft and how full the bench is. Once you have picked a shaft we give you a realistic turnaround, and ordered shafts add lead time. Call 804.784.6070 for current timing.
Can you reshaft any club?
Almost anything. Driver, fairway, hybrid, iron, wedge, putter. Some older bonded shafts and certain stock builds are harder to pull cleanly, but we can usually work around it.
Will a new shaft actually help my game?
Only if the one you have now is wrong for you, which is exactly why we test first. We run the proposed shaft on Trackman against your current gamer before you commit. If the numbers do not improve, we will tell you to keep what you have.
Do you test the shaft before I buy it?
Yes. We put the candidate shaft in a fitting head and you hit it outdoors next to your current club, with Trackman capturing both. You decide with the data in front of you.
How do I know if my shaft is the wrong one for me?
Inconsistent ball height, dispersion that wanders left and right, a club that feels boardy or whippy compared to the rest of your bag. Those are the usual tells. The honest answer comes from putting it on a launch monitor, which is where we start.
